Interpack 2026: Cost-efficiently control

Bruchsal/Düsseldorf – MOVI‑C^® CONTROLLER type UHX15A is a new addition to SEW‑EURODRIVE's controller portfolio in the lower power range. This controller has been developed to enable users to implement applications with a small number of devices cost-effectively.

MOVI-C^®CONTROLLER type UHX15A is a very attractively priced solution for a maximum of three axes. It makes available the full range of functions offered by MOVIKIT^®software modules, including sophisticated motion functions. Thanks to these ready-made software modules, the controller can be used for everything from simple motion control tasks, such as positioning and speed mode, to synchronized motion sequences, such as speed and torque coupling or position-related synchronous operation. Application-specific functions can also be programmed, such as the electronic cam function for controlling irregular motion sequences on a purely mechanical basis.

The state-of-the art MOVISUITE^® engineering and programming environment helps users implement motion control tasks quickly – largely by means of parameterization. Configuration and diagnostic functions are also available for all SEW‑EURODRIVE components connected to the MOVI‑C^® CONTROLLER. In addition, applications can be developed on the controller – based on IEC 61131-3 programming standards. The user program is stored on a replaceable memory card, so devices can be replaced quickly. A persistent retain memory makes it possible to save data that must be permanently retained, even in the event of a restart, a power outage, or a device replacement.

Drive electronics that are available in the MOVI‑C^® modular automation system and accessories from an extensive range, such as I/O modules and displays, can also be added to the controller to create the perfect solution. What's more, the optional fieldbus interface makes it exceptionally easy to incorporate the controller into an existing infrastructure using PROFINET, EtherNet/IP^TM, or Modbus TCP. The integrated Ethernet switch enables incorporation into a range of network topologies, including tree, star, line, and ring topologies. When it comes to the user interface, web visualization is possible on the controller. An OPC UA server/client can be used for communication with other controllers, systems, sensors, and cloud systems.

The controller is robust and has been developed for use in industrial environments. It can be operated at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +60 °C, with convection cooling being used for cooling purposes.
